PRODUCER, VIDEO & PHOTOGRAPHY

We’re looking for an experienced producer to play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire process from conception to completion for our photography and video productions. You must possess a diverse skill set encompassing creativity, organization, negotiation, problem-solving, and effective communication to ensure that the creative vision is realized within the allocated budget and timeline. You will orchestrate production strategies that marry wild creativity with the grounded realities of budget & timeline.

Responsibilities

Creative Vision Support

  • Researching Locations: Conducting thorough research to identify suitable locations that align with the creative vision of the project.
  • Investigating Events: Identifying relevant events or activities that can enhance the project’s storyline or visual impact.
  • Gathering Supporting Resources: Finding props, sets, or other elements that contribute to the creative direction.

Logistics and Planning

  • Securing Schedules: Coordinating and scheduling shoots, ensuring all necessary locations, talents, and resources are available at the right times.
  • Location Scouting: Visiting potential shooting locations to assess their suitability, logistics, and potential challenges.
  • Talent Acquisition: Identifying and hiring local talents such as models, actors, or specialists required for the production.
  • Travel Planning: Organizing travel arrangements for the crew, including transportation and accommodation.

Budget Management:

  • Budget Oversight: Developing and managing budgets for the entire production, ensuring that expenditures align with financial constraints.
  • Cost Negotiation: Negotiating rates with vendors, talents, and service providers to stay within budgetary limits.
  • Cost Analysis: Continuously monitoring expenses and making adjustments to stay on track financially.

Problem-Solving:

  • Finding Creative Solutions: Addressing unexpected challenges or constraints creatively and resourcefully.
  • Risk Management: Anticipating potential issues and devising contingency plans to mitigate risks during production.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Team Coordination: Collaborating closely with directors, photographers, videographers, and other team members to ensure a cohesive approach.
  • Communication Liaison: Acting as a primary point of contact for all stakeholders involved in the production, maintaining clear and effective communication throughout.

Post-Production Support:

  • Wrap-Up Activities: Managing wrap-up tasks such as equipment returns, payments, and finalizing contracts.
  • Evaluation and Analysis: Conducting post-mortem assessments to identify areas for improvement and learning from the production experience.

Requirements

  • +3 years in photography / commercial / film production.
  • A self-starter who can work quickly and effeciently on their own, while keeping production partners updated and on schedule.
  • Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and communicative.
  • Deep understanding of the nuts & bolts of project planning and risk management.
  • Accustomed to working in a fast paced environment, able to multitask, and meet multiple tight deadlines.
  • Experience in administrative duties and all related software.
